Fig Honey Ricotta Crostini (Print)

Crisp crostini topped with creamy ricotta, sweet figs, and honey creates an elegant dish in minutes.

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 baguette or ciabatta loaf
02 - 1 cup ricotta cheese
03 - 4-6 fresh figs, sliced (or dried figs if fresh are unavailable)
04 - 2 tablespoons honey (preferably floral honey for flavor)
05 - 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
06 - 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
07 - Sea salt, to taste
08 - Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
09 - Fresh mint or basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette or ciabatta into ½-inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until the crostini are golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
02 - In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, lemon juice, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until well blended and creamy. Optionally, add freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
03 - Spread a generous dollop of the ricotta mixture onto each toasted crostini. Top with a slice of fresh fig or a few pieces of dried fig. Drizzle a small amount of honey over the figs on each crostini.
04 - Lightly sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper, if desired. Garnish with fresh mint or basil leaves for added freshness. Serve immediately for the best texture, or arrange on a platter and serve at room temperature.
