Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars (Print)

# What You'll Need:

→ Crust

01 - 1½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs or graham crackers with 2 tbsp cocoa
02 - ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

→ Filling

03 - 3 large eggs
04 - 1 cup light corn syrup
05 - ½ cup granulated sugar
06 - ¼ cup packed brown sugar
07 - ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
08 - 1 cup chopped pecans
09 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
11 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Optional toppings

12 - Whole pecans
13 - Chocolate chunks
14 - Ganache drizzle

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Mix cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into a parchment-lined 9×9-inch baking pan and chill while preparing the filling.
03 - In a large bowl, whisk eggs. Add corn syrup, sugars, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt, mixing until smooth and glossy.
04 - Fold in chopped pecans and chocolate chips evenly throughout the mixture.
05 - Pour the filling over the crust. Sprinkle additional pecans generously on top. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly. Let cool completely.
06 - Top with ganache or melted chocolate, press in whole pecans, and sprinkle chocolate chunks. Chill until set before slicing.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
02 - To freeze, wrap tightly in plastic and foil. Thaw overnight in the fridge before serving.
03 - For clean slices, chill before cutting and wipe the knife between each cut.
