Baked Feta Fig Pecans (Print)

Creamy baked feta topped with sweet fig preserves and toasted pecans, ideal for serving with bread or crackers.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 14 to 16 ounces block of feta cheese
02 - 3 tablespoons avocado oil
03 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or dried parsley
04 - 1 pinch black pepper
05 - 1/2 cup fig preserves
06 - 1/2 cup raw pecans, chopped
07 - 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
02 - Transfer the pecans to a small skillet and heat them over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until toasted and crunchy, about 1 to 3 minutes. Remove and transfer to a bowl or measuring cup.
03 - Add the fig preserves to the toasted pecans and mix thoroughly.
04 - Remove the blocks of feta from their packaging and place them in a small oven-safe dish. Drizzle the feta blocks with avocado oil, then sprinkle with dried oregano and black pepper.
05 - Bake the feta at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven.
06 - Decrease the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
07 - Transfer the feta to the intended serving dish and stir until creamy. Pour the fig preserve and pecan mixture on top of the feta and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for another 12-17 minutes, or until the topping is hot and the cheese is bubbly.
08 - Remove from the oven and place on a trivet, kitchen towel, or baking sheet. Alert your guests that the dish is very hot. Sprinkle fresh thyme over the dip. Serve with toasted baguette, pita bread, or crackers.

# Additional Notes:

01 - You can substitute fig preserves with different types of preserves and adjust the nuts for variety.
