Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a large baking dish.

In a bowl, thoroughly combine the softened cream cheese and basil pesto until smooth.

Arrange chicken breasts flat in the greased baking dish and evenly spread the cream cheese pesto mixture over the top.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the cream cheese layer.

Bake uncovered in the center rack for 30-45 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).

Remove from oven, garnish with fresh halved cherry tomatoes and chopped basil before serving.
